Mr. Wharton is a former President of the GSTT and the Society is delighted to have him present his work to the membership. Mr. Wharton also recently earned the international Distinguished Service Award from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). The Distinguished Service Award is given in recognition of members who have distinguished themselves in singular and beneficial long-term service to the international organization AAPG. The Award will be presented at a joint Annual Meeting between the AAPG and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) in Denver, USA, September 2021.
