This issue covers the greater Caribbean region including drilling activity in T&T, Guyana, Suriname, Aruba and Grenada with licensing and seismic updates from Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Barbados. We will also take you to Brazil, West Africa, Greece, Russia, Mexico, Bangladesh, the North Sea, USA, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and to a major oil spill in Indonesia.
In mid-March, the Ministry of Energy held an interesting yet unorthodox one day conference featuring talks and presentations from the PM, Minister of Energy and several high level public servants. It was titled 'Spotlight on Energy: Our Oil, Our Gas, Our Future'. Leaders of all major energy companies were invited to attend. The event was also televised live.
